TOP 10 HIGHLIGHTS
Rejection can be a motivator. Turn your letdowns into inspiration and fuel to create stronger work.
Build habits in your art practice that create time for personal projects.
When you create from a place of being genuine and authentic to yourself – that’s where the magic happens in your work. There’s no way to bottle that.
Everyone has an aesthetic that they love, and usually those aesthetics will come through in your work. Keep creating art, and eventually you will be able to step back and see that you do have a style. You do have your own narrative. You do have your own hand.
Creating art is always a challenge. It’s very rare that it’s easy to make good art.
How to know if a client is a good fit:
Listen to your gut & intuition
Are they referencing your work or another artists work?
Are they as excited about it as they should be?
Are there sparks between you and the person you’ll be working with?
Do they trust you? Are they willing to trust you?
Do they respect you?
It’s okay to say “no”. Not all jobs will align with your authentic artwork or passion.
Creative block is not the end of the world. Give yourself a break. Whenever you do, it’s like a detox, and it allows you to get back to connecting to what you love the most.
Loving what you are creating in your personal work can rejuvenate you and give you the confidence you need for your client work.
Imagine what can be possible for you. Don’t let negative self-talk drown out your dreams. Imagine them. Visualize them. Believe they are possible for you. It will help you raise your feeling of self-worth and focus you on the positive that you want in your life. Wonderful things can start to happen!
