I'm so excited to share with you my latest fabric collection with Blend Fabrics, "Blown Away"! This fabric collection has 6 prints in 2 colorways (pink and blue) for a total of 13 fabrics to choose from.
When creating Blown Away, I was inspired by the power of wind and the different ways it invisibly impacts our world. Hot air balloons and their graceful floating through the sky. Birds soaring to their next destination. Seeds being scattered effortlessly to bring about new life. Kites floating higher and higher up into the sky. Clouds hanging gracefully yet powerfully bursting with rain. Still water turning into powerful waves.
This collection was so inspiring to work on and create! Once I got the theme down, the ideas kept flowing. I really enjoy how the collection comes in a pink or a blue combo – perfect for a little one's room! And of course, not ONLY for kids!
It's really hard for me to say it, but after years of doing fabric collection photo shoots, I am needing to take a little break with this one. I've been doing photo shoots since I started designing fabric collections, back in 2008, so this has been a really hard decision to make, as I really enjoy expressing my vision and creativity through them.
Things with my business have been so busy that I need to make some tough decisions to make my plate more manageable. Busy is good news though! And I'm excited to share some new things coming down the pike in the next few weeks, so stay tuned!
I have so many ideas for what I wanted this fabric collection photo shoot to be and hope that perhaps I may be able to do a photo shoot later in the year. We'll have to see. But I wanted to share this with you in case you were wondering where the gorgeous photo's were. I'm hoping this isn't a long term decision and with some of my latest business decisions, that I'll have time to do them again!
I'm hoping that I can get a chance to see the gorgeous and creative things YOU make with my Blown Away fabrics! It's my first conversational collection, besides my Holiday collection, so I'd love to hear your thoughts!
I invite you to post your creations on my Facebook page or send me a link to your blog post or Etsy site as I'd love to promote you!
